People & Culture Business Partner (m/f/d)
Be the P&C partner for our Tech teams: own HR operations, coach leaders, drive development, and help scale a diverse, high-performing engineering culture.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a People & Culture Partner (m/f/d) who combines strong HR operations expertise with the ability to support and partner closely with our engineering and product teams. This role is designed for someone who enjoys being close to the business, is pragmatic, proactive, and ready to step in wherever needed, and thrives in a fast‑growing scale‑up environment. You will act as the dedicated P&C contact for all Tech units at Korial, ensuring reliable and compliant HR operations while actively shaping how we work as we continue to scale. You will collaborate closely within our P&C team but take full ownership of all HR operations and employee lifecycle topics for our Tech organization.
YOUR TASKS
HR Operations for Tech Teams
Own and manage all HR administrative processes for engineering, product, and platform teams across the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, probation reviews, internal transfers, and organizational changes.
Prepare and issue employment contracts, amendments, confirmations, reference letters, certificates, and all relevant HR documentation while maintaining accurate and compliant personnel files and digital HR records.
Ensure data integrity across HRIS, handle compensation adjustments, leave management, and payroll‑relevant updates, and maintain structured, reliable, and compliant HR processes tailored to technical teams.
HR Business Partnering
Serve as the day‑to‑day HR contact for Tech managers and employees, providing practical, business‑oriented guidance.
Support employee lifecycle topics such as performance processes, role clarifications, internal mobility, compliance, and employee relations, including conflict resolution and sensitive HR matters.
Ensure adherence to labor laws, internal policies, and documentation standards.
Performance, Development & Talent
Manage the full performance cycle for Tech teams, promote a strong feedback culture, and coach leaders on performance and development conversations.
Identify skills gaps, succession needs, and development opportunities, and support learning initiatives, mentoring programs, and leadership development tailored to technical roles.
Collaborate with Talent Acquisition on role profiles, leveling, and workforce planning.
People Analytics & Reporting
Prepare people reports and insights to support decision‑making for Tech leadership.
Monitor trends in engagement, turnover, performance, and overall organizational health.
Process Improvement & Projects
Create, refine, and standardize operational HR processes to support a scaling organization and maintain efficient, compliant HR workflows across HRIS.
Support BGM processes, including reintegration management and collaboration with health service partners.
Drive cross‑functional HR projects and contribute to building scalable People & Culture structures.
YOUR PROFILE
University degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field
5+ years of experience in generalist HR roles, ideally in a start-up and with exposure to technical teams
Ability to advise and challenge Tech leaders with pragmatic, business-oriented guidance.
Strong knowledge of German labor law and social security.
Hands-on, reliable, structured, and highly detail-oriented.
Ability to work independently.
Comfortable in a dynamic engineering environment.
Communicative, approachable, and solution-oriented.
Business fluent English skills and native level German skills.
